My work is informed by an optimistic belief in people’s resiliency and ability to take risks and make bold changes in their lives.  I work with high functioning, motivated clients who are ready to take a serious look at the direction of their lives and are wanting to grow.  I would describe my style as warm, engaging, collaborative and attuned.  I have developed a wide range of specialties from which to draw in order to meet each client’s specific needs.  After 30 years of practice, I continue to find the practice of psychotherapy interesting, rewarding, challenging and fun.

I work from an eclectic framework.  I conceptualize clients from a psychodynamic and attachment oriented lens.  I utilize relational, psychodynamic, existential, psychedelic assisted, cognitive behavioral and relational theory approaches.  I have advanced training in EMDR, Internal Family Systems and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction.  I am an AASECT certified sex therapist and am certified as an Imago Couples Therapist.  My sex therapy work includes working with desire discrepancy, affair recovery, sexual identity, sexual function concerns, sexual compulsion, exploration of kink, navigating relationship openness and polyamory amongst other issues.  I work with couples of all orientations who are wanting to improve their emotional and physical intimacy, communication and connection.

I am trained in Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP).  I facilitate the medicine journey itself and the therapeutic integration process as well.  This exciting development is providing an inspiring  level of healing and growth.  I am currently conducting research on the influence of psychedelic assisted psychotherapy on sexual desire and pleasure.

More important than adhering to a certain theory, however, I am most interested in finding and using what will work for you.
