My leading objective is identifying what stands in the way of well-being and how best to support clients’ alignment with their goals. I am deeply interested in how we relate to one another, technology/substances, etc. and how these relationships support or limit our growth and ability to thrive. Through a trauma-informed lens, I help clients explore symptoms of anxiety, depression and other diagnoses, with a focus on harm-reduction practices to support sustainable and nourishing sources of pleasure and contentment.
I work relationally and draw on several therapeutic frameworks, including Internal Family Systems to address inner conflict/coping mechanisms and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy to move through complex emotions utilizing present moment somatic experience. My practice is rooted in Sex-Positive education and Queer Theory (unpacking stigma, shame and guilt), Attachment Theory (understanding the neurobiological impact of connection), Mindfulness-based Interventions and Narrative therapy (using a validating and accountable perspective to author our biography). In our sessions, we will identify themes that call for attention then co-create a supportive environment in which to process challenges and re-conceptualize narratives that no longer serve you in your journey.
My approach is informed by a neuro-spicy, non-binary, queer femme identity, lived-experience of childhood immigration and several personal and professional paradigm shifts. I specialize in serving the LGBQA/ITNB+, CNM, BDSM/kink communities and others navigating relationship structures outside of cis/het-normativity. I hold a BA in Theatre Education; Masters in Social Work; Trauma certification from Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Institute; and am pursuing AASECT certification in sex-therapy.
I offer sessions to individuals, couples, polycules, as well as other partnership structures and look forward to connecting with you!
