I enjoy working with clients to help them develop more fulfilling relationships, resolve unhelpful patterns, explore their passions, and experience emotional growth. I practice from a psychodynamic framework, though I seek to use and explore the therapeutic modalities which best align with the particular needs and goals of each client.
I have a particular interest in working with adults, couples, and members of the LGBTQ+ community around issues of identity, relationships, life transitions, trauma recovery, anxiety, and depression. I have facilitated a variety of groups; including process groups, CBT skill groups, DBT skill groups, support groups, and creative arts therapy groups. As I write poetry and short fiction, I am also open to integrating creative arts and narrative therapy techniques into my work with clients.
I recently completed my master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling at the Boston Graduate School of Psychoanalysis. During my graduate training, I worked with adult clients in a variety of settings, using both psychoanalytically informed counseling as well as more solution-focused approaches to treatment.
I believe in the importance of fostering a secure, trusting, therapeutic relationship. I view therapy as a collaborative process which allows clients to put their thoughts, feelings, and experiences into words. I believe that through this process, clients can experience self-discovery and healing. I would describe my approach as warm and attuned. I look forward to beginning this process with you.
